Telstra judge’s role an honour for Kane

October 28, 2022

They’re the prestigious national business awards that attracted more than 24,000 nominations in 2022, are revered for their rigorous and transparent judging process, and applauded for shining the spotlight on the best of Australia’s small and medium-sized businesses.

They are, of course, the Telstra Best of Business Awards and this year Multiplan Managing Director Kane Nitschke will be taking a seat on the WA judging panel to help determine the best of the best.

Kane has already experienced the judging process firsthand– but from the other side of the table.

Instrumental in helping Multiplan secure a place in the 2022 State finals, he knows just how rigorous and detailed a successful submission needs to be.

“Telstra’s invitation to join the judging panel for the 2023 awards is a tremendous honour,” he says.

“It will be a privilege to join such a diverse panel of passionate advocates for small and medium-sized businesses.”

As a 2023 Telstra Best of Business Awards State Judge, Kane will join his fellow judges in determining each WA nominee’s overall business success, from economic sustainability and the adoption of technology, to progressive leadership, and social and community contribution.

A key focus for the Telstra Best of Business Awards is the positive impact businesses are making in areas such as promoting sustainability, championing health, embracing innovation and building communities.

Businesses will also once again be invited to showcase how they’re driving change to accelerate women in business – the awards category Multiplan excelled in as a State finalist in 2022 with our Women in Steel initiative.

From increasing Australia’s GDP and the economy, to making our communities safer and healthier, the Telstra Best of Business Awards recognise equity is beneficial to all Australians.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the 2023 awards and learning more about the many different contributions this year’s outstanding small and medium-sized businesses are making to Australia’s economic, social and cultural prosperity,” Kane says.
